Today at lunch I was pretending to do push-ups on the kitchen counter.

Ethan looked at me and said “Daddy, are you excersaucing?”

Crunchy boogers

A few weeks ago we were putting Ethan in the car and he said something funny.  As we were loading him in to his seat and he said “Mommy I have boogers, they’re crunchy boogers”

Out of the blue Ethan started eating pickles.  We gave him a baby dill pickle thinking it would be funny to see his face.  Surprisingly he liked it.   For some reason now he calls them pickle sausages.

We were eating pickles yesterday and I told him I had one with his name on it.  He took it from me and started turning it around inspecting it.  He looked up at me and said “Where’s my name Daddy?”

The hospital

Ethan has spent a fair amount of time at the hospital even though he’s only 2.5.

He says hospital like this…

Hoss-a-ball

Today was Ethan’s first school trip.  I went to preschool with him in the morning and we took a school bus (AKA. Cool Bus) to Brooks Farms.  We played on the hay, saw some animals, went on a tractor ride and got a pumpkin.

Ethan’s favourite part was the school bus.

Ethan is starting to get into Halloween.  We’ve almost convinced him to wear a costume.

Here are a couple of funny ways he pronounces Halloween characters.

Frankenstein = Franklin-Stime

Dracula = Dracoola

Last night Ethan woke up was screaming “Want a hug”.  Krystie went into his room and he said “Bear”.  Krystie asked him “what bear?”, and he said “bear outside”.

We’re pretty sure this was his first nightmare.  It would be pretty scary if there was a bear outside the window.

7 Weeks…

It’s been 7 weeks since Aiden was born.  He’s sleeping well (8:30-1:30-5:30), and he still snorts like crazy when he’s hungry.

Aiden isn’t doing much yet but sleep and eat.  He’s been starting to make some different sounds.  Krystie and I are pretty sure he did a real smile yesterday.

2 weeks…

It’s been 2 weeks since Aiden was born.  The late night feeds and lack of sleep are starting to take their toll on Krystie and I.  Both of us are very tired and in need of a long 8 hour stretch of sleep.

Aiden is doing fine, he is eating like crazy all night long.  It’s still early but man I’m ready for him to sleep through the night.

Ethan is also doing well, he’s a massive ball of energy and needs to be outside most of the day or he goes nuts.  He is handling the baby fine and loves to give him kisses and hugs.

Snort Snort

Aiden doesn’t really cry that often but when he does it goes something like this;

Whaaaaaaaaah… Whaaaaaaaaaaaaah… Snort… Snort…. Whaaaaaaaaaaaah!

He snorts when he’s hungry, it’s pretty funny.
